IMAGINE that you must choose one single memory from your life, a memory which you will take into eternity.
That is the premise of 100, a theatrical production coming to Central Studio on Thursday, October 17 at 7.30pm.
This imaginative experience comes from Dorset’s award-winning AsOne Theatre Company and is an adaptation of the award-winning play 100, which was first performed by the Imaginary Body in 2002.
The play is a thrilling and compelling look at the importance of memories and how it challenges the way each have lived, loved, observed and even valued life itself; there are even implications none would have guessed in a surprising twist.
Audiences will be transported to a dramatic French motorbike race, a South American rainforest and a London tube train as each character in turn tries to capture their memory for eternity.
This gripping story is brought to life with the use of movable sets, innovative choreography and vibrant animations and has called upon the expertise of a varied creative team.
Evocative music from composer and Dorset fiddle player, Simon Swarbrick - nephew of the great Dave Swarbrick of Fairport Convention - underscores the play.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01256 418318 or online at centralstudio.co.uk.
