THE Basingstoke Live Forum are excited to present another great line-up for the Main Stage of this year’s festival.
Saturday’s headliners are Brighton-based electronic rock act The Qemists.
Their 2009 debut album Join the Q features an impressive list of guest artists including Faith No More’s Mike Patton and legendary grime MC Wiley.
Since then the band have gone on to record tracks with Enter Shikari and have recently finished a European tour supporting iconic Nu metal band Korn.
Crossing genres of drum & bass, breakbeat and dance music with muscular metallic riffs, The Qemists promise an exciting, high-energy Saturday night at War Memorial Park.
Also perofming is a top mix of top local talent ranging from 15 year-old rising star Lauren Thalia, who has supported Leona Lewis, Newton Faulkner and Nina Nesbitt, to Basingstoke Live favourites Fake The Attack. The band’s long-awaited debut album is released this month.
Mungo Jerry, whose global hit In The Summertime has been officially recognised as the most played summer song of all time, takes to the stage to headline on the Sunday. Mungo Jerry continues to play a cheerful blend of rock, blues, boogie and skiffle to festival audiences throughout the world.
Basingstoke Live will be treated to a host of classics from their back catalogue which includes a number of top 10 hits.
Sunday is a real chance to get down and boogie - acoustic, rock ‘n’ roll, blues, funk, punk and a little bit of swing will get your feet moving in the lead up to Mungo Jerry.
This fantastic day of top local talent from Little Freddie and the rock ‘n’ roll flames through to local funksters Groove Republic.
