NEW Dimensions’ latest music commission, Ripples and Roots: Rushmoor Stories, premiered on Sunday.
Ripples and Roots: Rushmoor Stories is one of a series of projects being delivered by New Dimensions, a partnership between Anvil Arts, Basingstoke and Turner Sims, Southampton which seeks new ways of involving people in music.
Funded by Hampshire County Council, New Dimensions works with composers, orchestras, groups and musicians in different genres, using music to engage, explore and celebrate local communities.
Contemporary music ensemble London Sinfonietta and electronic musician Scanner collaborated to create this new piece of music.
The work was performed live to an appreciative audience at Aldershot Military Museum.

A free CD of the piece is now available.
