JOIN Basingstoke’s Laughter-House Comedy Club for a fun night out in 2015.

Its founder Jan Jack has a full schedule planned for The Red Lion Hotel at The Top of the Town and will continue to bring top names to Basingstoke.

Jan said: “Our reputation as one of the best clubs on the UK circuit is down to our fabulous Basingstoke audiences. They really appreciate seeing acts they've seen on the TV here in the town.

“The comedians love performing here too, and for me, there's no better job than watching a room full of people laughing their mitts off, knowing that we've brought it all together.

“Thank you Basingstoke, for supporting our lovely buzzy club!”

Here’s what’s in store:

February 5 - Jeff Innocent, Larry Dean, MC Andrew Ryan plus support

From London's East End, Canning Town, Jeff Innocent grew up the son of a real-life villain and could have chosen a career in the family firm. Instead , he worked in the 1970s as a window dresser in London's fashionable Kings Road and Carnaby Street for a smart chain of boutiques and at night was moonlighting as a DJ popularizing Jamaican music.

Basingstoke Gazette:

By the ‘80s, the retail industry had lost its charm and it was time for a new challenge. Jeff enrolled at University to study for a BA in Cultural Studies and stayed on to complete a MA in history and philosophy, before finally answering his true calling 10 years ago and taking to stand-up.

Jeff is now very much part of the comedy gentry and widely acknowledged as one of the UK's top headlines acts and comperes.

Glaswegian comedian Larry Dean's stand up career started south of the Border in 2008. Since then his burgeoning comedy career required him to work full time in the industry, and has resulted in a number of high profile comedy shows around the UK.

Basingstoke Gazette:

In addition to his experience as a stand up comedian, Larry successfully hosted Southampton's biggest student comedy night between 2008 and 2010. He has also headlined the Blissfields Festival, performed at the Preston Fringe Festival, Manchester Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2011.

Basingstoke Gazette:

Alongside his comedy work, he’s used his engineering background to become a natural and engaging presenter for BBC Television and The Discovery Channel.

He is also known for his uncanny resemblance to record breaking Quarter-Back Aaron Rodgers. Tom visited Green Bay to meet his doppleganger and a short movie by NFL Films covering his trip became a viral Youtube hit.

April 9 - Raymond and Mr Timpkins Review, Nick Page, MC David Ward

Cutting their teeth compering and performing in comedy and variety nights at The Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea, Raymond and Mr Timpkins Review watched the nineties as it wafted gently past until, eventually and not before time, London called.

Now, this terpsichorean twosome tour the country, even venturing as far afield as The Falklands and Oman, to provide spiritual uplift to the brave boys and girls of the armed forces.

Basingstoke Gazette:

Their latest foray is into radio comedy/drama. A 1930s murder mystery based in Brighton and a frankly silly retelling of the Jack the Ripper tale, have so far been forged in the red hot fires of their imaginations.

A former estate agent, Nick Page started in comedy in 2001. He also fronted three series of the BBC's daytime property show Escape to the Country.

Tickets: £15

May 14 – Mickey D

Mickey D is a brilliant natural comic and amiable host, conquering everything from comedy bear pits to kids’ festivals. He is the creator, producer and host of The Phatcave, the infamous comedy show born out of the Edinburgh Festival.

Mickey D burst onto the comedy scene as a 17 year old and made an immediate impact, storming the national finals of JJJ’s Raw Comedy.

Proudly South Australian at all costs, cricket mad, former 1st XVIII captain, KFC reject and banned from high-school debating team, this multi-award-winning comedian has performed at no less than eight Edinburgh festivals, twice being asked to perform at The Montreal Comedy festival.

June 11 – Ben Norris, more TBC

July 9 - Paul Tonkinson, more TBC

Having made his name as host of The Sunday Show, Paul Tonkinson took an even bigger step into the limelight when he replaced Johnny Vaughan briefly on The Big Breakfast.

Basingstoke Gazette:

Still relatively fresh-faced, Paul has actually been at the game quite a long time. Back in 1992, he was winner of the Time Out New Act of the Year Award and then completed the comedy double when he won Time Out Stand Up Comic of the Year in 1997.

On stage, Paul leads his audience on a guided tour through the differences in male and female logic and can take the mickey out of almost every region in Britain and further afield.
