WILDLIFE is the theme which has been chosen for this year’s Basingstoke Kite Festival Design a Kite Competition, sponsored by Gazette Newspapers.
The skies will be filled with colour on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 for the 2014 festival – the 22 nd - at Down Grange Sports Complex in Pack Lane.
Organisers would like to welcome local children to enter the competition and win some great prizes.
The competition is open to all children in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3, and is judged by age group by splitting the entries into their key stage groups.
The winners, who will be notified by May 17, will have their prizes presented to them by the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane at the festival on Sunday, June 8 at approximately 3pm.
To enter by May 10, send your Wildlife design – which must be no bigger than A4 – along with your name, address, postcode, key stage and contact telephone number, to Mr A Cosgrove, 18 Loggon Road, Basingstoke, Hants, RG21 3PH.
No correspondence will be entered into and the judges’ decision is final.
