THIS month’s talk presented by the Friends of the Willis Museum deals with one of the most remarkable characters associated with the First World War and his exploits in equally remarkable places.
Winning World War I: the story of Lawrence of Arabia and the Hejaz Railway will be hosted by Richard Tanner, who knows the area well.
He will talk about Lawrence’s part in the Arab Revolt which led to the collapse of Germany’s ally Turkey.
The talk takes place at the museum on Thursday, April 17, at 7.30pm.
Entrance is free for members and costs £2, payable at the door, for non-members.
Due to the limited accommodation, non-members are asked to call 01256 465902 in advance to reserve a place.
