KANCARE Coffee Club trip: Last Friday, Kancare Coffee Club members enjoyed their annual outing to the seaside. The coach left the rugby club car park at 10am for the drive down to Bournemouth.
On arrival they made their way to Harry Ramsden’s for a fish and chips lunch overlooking the sea front.
After lunch, members had free time to explore. Those unable to get about on their own were accompanied by Kancare volunteers for a walk along the pier.
Mervyn, the coach driver, picked everyone up again for a drive back through Hampshire villages, pointing out places of interest along the way.
It was a lovely day enjoyed by all. Thanks must go to a local trust who donated the money to make this possible.
Coffee Club will meet every Friday, at 10am, at the rugby club house throughout the August break.
KEMPSHOTT WI: Will meet on Monday at Kempshott Village Hall at 2.30pm, with guest speaker Gordon Lewis.
