STREETZ: Is again very active during the summer holidays in Rooksdown with activities for children aged eight to 17 years. Young people can come down to the community centre on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights and join in with a wide range of activities. A full programme of activities can be found at basingstoke.gov.uk/streetz or pick up a leaflet from the community centre.
COMMUNITY picnic: it was great to see so many people getting to know each other at last weekend’s Community Picnic on the park. Our thanks go to the people who organised such a great event.
MUNCHKINS: provide a warm welcome to parents and carers of the underfives on Thursdays, between 10am and 11.30am (term-time) for £2 a family at the Sea Cadet and Community Centre in Sycamore Way. Enjoy unlimited tea and coffee whilst your little munchkin has a great time with toys, books, puzzles and crafts.
POOP scoops provided by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council can now be picked up from the community centre reception to help everyone keep Rooksdown clean and tidy.
