SPEEDWATCH: Major parts of Rooksdown’s roads have now become part of a 20mph zone. A community Speedwatch initiative is currently being planned by the parish council. Additional traffic calming measures will be implemented in the coming weeks.
ANNUAL Summer Fair and Dog Show: Takes place on Sunday, July 5, 11am-3pm on Rooksdown Park and in the community centre. There will be lots of stalls, attractions and arena events. For competitions and dog show classes that can be entered on the day visit rooksdownonline.com.
AGM: The annual general meeting of the community association will be held on Monday, June 29, at 7.45pm.The meeting will be short, but must be held to elect the committee to run the centre and events for the coming year. Please come along to vote for the committee or see how you can help.
CLUB 55: Everyone is reminded that Club 55, Rooksdown’s over 55 group, continues to meet for a coffee morning every Thursday, from 10am in the community centre. Club 55 also runs monthly trips and excursions.
