ROMAN talk: Professor Michael Fulford will be giving a talk on the final stages of the Silchester dig on Friday, March 27, in the village hall, 7pm for 7.30pm.
ART Exhibition: Is taking place on Saturday, March 28, in the village Hall, from 1pm to 5pm, where nine local artists will show their work.
PALM Sunday: The walk will start from the village hall car park at 9.45am, and will then progress along the Drove, followed by a service in church.
We shall not be using the amphitheatre this year and hope to fill the church to overflowing.
We shall again be led by our Roman legion friends and our visiting donkey, Alfie, who lives in Theale.
PHOENIX Club: Met in the Club Room, and were entertained by Robin Scott, who sang and played keyboards and kept 39 friends very happy with an hour of his special music.
MONGOLIA Classic Rally: In and around Silchester with many classic cars.
The rally will start from the Calleva Arms, at 11am, on Sunday, April 12. More details next week.
