BROOKVALE Baby and Toddler Group: Meets every Monday during term time, from 10am to 11.30am at Brookvale Village Hall.

GARDEN waste: Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s fortnightly garden waste collection service is up and running right up until December 14.
The service collects grass cuttings, flowers, hedge clippings, weeds, twigs and prunings, and costs £27.82 from this month for two sacks with further pro-rata reductions for those signing up later in the year. Each sack can hold 20kg or 44lbs of green waste. The garden waste collected is composted into Pro-Grow soil conditioner. Register via the council’s website or call 844844.
“VINTAGE Style”: Is a talk on vintage collectibles at Basingstoke Discovery Centre by Naomi Thompson, an author and personal shopper, at 2pm on March 12. Tickets cost £3.
