ABSOLUTELY delicious!: More than 100 people attended Ellisfield Ladies’ Big Coffee Morning last Saturday, raising almost £600 for Macmillan.
Thanks go to Celia and Pat for their organisation, to those who made the delicious cakes, and to everyone who came and enjoyed them and bought any left over to raise funds for this wonderful charity.
HARVEST Festival: The pews were full in St Martin’s Church last Sunday for Harvest Festival. The church had been beautifully decorated with flowers and fruits of the harvest, Belles of St Martin’s led the singing, and parishioners enjoyed the fruits of the vine after the service, with all donations going to May Place Shelter for the Homeless.
HALF-MARATHON runners: Will be coming through the village on Sunday. As usual, there will be a rolling road-block with roads closed between 10am and 2pm.
SUPERFAST Broadband: BT Openreach is coming to next Monday’s meeting of Ellisfield Parish Council (Memorial Hall 7.30pm) to explain how we are coming closer to achieving this. All residents are welcome to attend presentation.
