MEMORIAL event: Last Saturday’s Tadley and District History Society World War 1 War Memorial and Exhibition went very well with lots of people attending to take a look back at history.

TADS did a great job in organising such an event. It certainly made me think about all those names and many of them so young!

COFFEE Mornings: Thanks to all those lovely people who ran the various Macmillan Coffee Mornings last Friday.

I managed to get to two, and both went well. I know of another one that is going to take place at the Salvation Army Hall, opposite the Esso garage, Mulfords Hill on October 17, from 10am to noon.

INDOOR Car Boot Sale: On Saturday, at the community centre, from 10am to noon.

CINEMA: Also at the community centre, on Saturday, the film 12 Years A Slave will be shown. The cost for members is £4.50 and non-members £5.50. Doors open at 6.30pm, and the film starts at 7pm.

MARKET: Is being held on Saturday, starting at 10.30am, at St Paul’s Church Hall, on The Green, in aid of church funds.
