MONTHLY Market: Wolverton Village Hall is holding its monthly market on Saturday, August 2, from 9.30am to 11am. On sale will be books, bric-a-brac, cakes, wool, home-made jams and chutneys, flowers and vegetables, and refreshments are available. If you would like a stall, contact Betty on 01256 850017.
MONK Sherborne and District Horticultural Show: Takes place on Saturday, August 2, at 1.30pm. There will be stalls, games, afternoon teas, a Pimms tent, BBQ, fun dog show, raffle, children’s races and much more. Admission – adults £2, OAPs and children under-17 £1, and for children under-five it’s free.

FIRST World War commemorative afternoon tea party: At Heath End Village Hall, on Sunday, August 3, a World War One commemorative afternoon tea party is being held, starting at 2pm.
Tadley Brass Band will be playing songs from that era and there will also be a display of memorabilia.
