MONTHLY Market: Wolverton Village Hall is holding its monthly market this Saturday, from 9.30am to 11am. There will be books, bric-a-brac, cakes, wool, home-made jams and chutneys, flowers and vegetables for sale, and refreshments are available. If you would like a stall, contact Betty on 01256 850017.
FLOWER Festival: St Stephen’s Church is holding a flower festival from Saturday to Monday, 11am to 5pm. The theme is “Crafty Folk”, illustrating hobbies.
There will be refreshments, tombola and a cake stall. On Sunday, there will be Songs of Praise, at 6pm, and on Monday, there will be wine and nibbles at 7pm, followed by an auction of the flowers.
You will be able to vote for your favourite arrangement and the best scarecrow.
The money raised will be shared between the British Legion, the local mobile chemotherapy unit and St Stephen’s Church.
REMINDER: To residents that they are responsible for any shrubs or plants on their property that overhang the pavement. Any overhanging vegetation should be cut back and disposed of responsibly.
