POLICE Neighbourhood Beat Surgery: Last Thursday’s police neighbourhood beat surgery, held at Wessex Christian Fellowship, received crime updates for the local area, and also shared crime prevention tips.
Detailed topics covered included burglaries, theft from motor vehicles, guidance on closed circuit TV, street lighting and highway issues.

CELEBRATING 25 years: Basingstoke Heritage Society is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an open day at Basingstoke Discovery Centre, in Festival Place, from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, June 28.
To celebrate the occasion, the Deputy Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane Councillor Anne Court will be cutting the cake at 11.30am.
