POLICE Beat Surgery: Last week’s well-attended local police beat surgery discussed precautionary steps to reduce theft from vehicles. Police advice includes not leaving anything in your car – even low value items, choosing a removable stereo and always locking your vehicle even if just leaving it for a short period or when it’s parked on your drive. Even better, use a locked garage if possible as it makes a break-in 40 times less likely!
BROOKVALE Community Association’s Brookvale Festival and Vintage Fair: Is taking place at Brookvale Village Hall, from 11am to 4pm, on Sunday, July 13. Free entry. Attractions include an art exhibition, inflatable pillow bash, vintage fashion, plant sales, Brian the Busker, face-painting, Thornycroft display and Punch and Judy.
