PERCY’S Plant Sale: Was held last Saturday. Donald Dawson says: “We held the event indoors due to the weather and there was a good turnout. Lots of the plants were sold within the first 30-45 minutes.”
Refreshments were provided by POSH (Patrons of Sherfield Village Hall), and thanks to all who came, helped or donated raffle prizes. A profit of £887 was raised, to be split between the village hall, St Leonard’s Church and the Gardening Club.
THE Annual Parish Meeting: Took place last Friday, in the village hall, and was well attended. A summary of the results of the Neighbourhood Plan questionnaire was circulated. Ivan Gosden gave a report on the village hall, detailing the improvements that have been made, including new boiler, new doors, windows and crockery. There was also a report from the representative from Taylors Farm, whose news included a youth club at Sherfield Park Community Centre with two groups, under-10s and a 11-16 group, meeting on Wednesday evenings, which is open to all residents in the parish.
