‘TIS the season of mellow fruitfulness... but it is easy to forget in the harvest celebrations there are those less fortunate locally who have trouble putting food on their table every day. Please support the Hart Food Bank by bringing items to any of the Whitewater churches during Sunday services. Food stuffs particularly requested this month are any kind of tinned fruit and meat, custard, rice pudding, UHT milk and pasta sauces (well within their sell-by dates, please!) The food bank is also looking for a new permanent home with clean, dry storage and easy access. If you know of any business units or farm buildings that might suit please let me know!
WHEN the Saints go marching in... a memorial service of thanksgiving on All Saint’s Day will be taking place at Mattingley church this Sunday, at 3.30pm. Let our Reverends Peter Hewlett-Smith or Marion de Quidt know if you would like the names of your dear departed to be read out during the service.
