OAKLEY Health Walk: Part of the Basingstoke Walk for Health Scheme, the next Oakley walk will be on Sunday, February 27, for about one hour, from the school lay-by at 2.30pm. Details from basingstokehealthwalks.org.
OAKLEY Calendar: The 2011 version sold out quickly and photos are invited for the 2012 calendar. Photos (in landscape format rather than portrait) should be of recognisable places in Oakley, Newfound or Deane, and should if possible illustrate a season. Please email your photos to derekburgess017@ tiscali.co.uk by Tuesday, March 15. Those pictures chosen by the publicity working party for the calendar will be credited with the name of the photographer and the picture title.
NEXT Jumble Sale: Wessex Cancer Trust is holding a sale on Saturday, February 26, in East Oakley Village Hall starting at 2pm. Entry 30p. Donations of jumble can be taken to the hall from 10am on sale day.
