BIG run: The Basingstoke Half-Marathon comes through our villages on Sunday. Do support the runners, some of whom have become familiar faces as they have run the course in training in recent months.
Village roads are due to be closed between 10am and 2pm with a rolling roadblock allowing roads to re-open as the last runners complete the course which brings them through Cliddesden, up White Hill to Ellisfield, down Church Lane and then College Lane before returning back up Green Lane, along Grammarsham Lane, through Farleigh and back down through Cliddesden before heading back towards town for the finish.
QUIZ time: Graham and Sue extend a welcome to all for their second quiz night; starting at 8pm on Sunday with a half-hour break after the first session for supper (£4), teams of four (or less). Entry is £1 per person.
