THEATRE: We’ve gone from early February’s read through of the summer play to mid-June, and performance time. If you’re reading this on Friday or Saturday, you’re in with a chance of getting a ticket for It Runs In The Family.
CLIDDESDEN Players: It’s time to get your tickets for the Cliddesden Players’ It Runs In The Family. This is a massive fundraiser for the village hall.
CHURCH Service: This Saturday, St Leonard’s service is Holy Communion at 6pm, and Sunday, from 4.30pm to 6pm, the village hall hosts Messy Church.
FARMERS’ Market: Coming up this weekend, on Sunday, from 10am to 2pm, don’t miss the brand new Farmers’ Market at More Of The Good Stuff on Dummer Down Farm (near Strictly Cricket).
VILLAGE Quiz: Next Saturday, May 9, is the village quiz in aid of St Leonard’s. Teams of up to six players can be formed in advance or on the night. Tickets are £10 for adults or £6 for under-16s, to include a delicious home-cooked supper.
DEFIBRILLATOR: Saturday morning’s Defibrillator Awareness session was absolutely brilliant but poorly attended.
DEFIBRILLATOR: As you will remember, over the last couple of years, the village put together various fundraising efforts to supply a defibrillator, which has now been purchased from the Community Heartbeat Trust.
JUMBLE Sale: Hurrah for spring cleaning, and hurrah for the WI’s annual jumble sale, this Sunday, from 1pm in the village hall!
A STRANGELY quiet Thursday update, this week, unless something has slipped through the net and escaped my eagle eye.
