LAST weekend we took terrific support to Cambridge for our FA Cup first-round tie.

I would like to thank the supporters; from start to finish I believe we made more noise that the home support and we all really appreciated it.

As for the game, I believe we deserved a replay, however we ultimately paid the price for a nervy opening 20 minutes, during which we gave the opposition too much respect.

After this period I think the players adapted very well and at times outplayed our higher opposition from League Two.

It was a proud day for me and the club, but I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed that we didn’t get more from the game, which the efforts of the players deserved.

This week we turn our attentions back to the league and face an away day at Concord Rangers on Saturday, followed by an even longer trip to play against Truro.

We are hoping to pick up three points in each game and I feel we can do this as the performances over the past few weeks have been good.

We need to ensure this continues as we have played so well in the cup, but our run is now over and we now want to focus on moving up the league and out of the danger zone.

We need to make sure the performances get the points that are deserved and six points in our next two games would be great.

We have some big games coming up in the near future and will be fully focused on getting ourselves out of the situation that we have put ourselves in.

Once again thank you for your amazing support at Cambridge.
