THIS week we turn our attention to Torquay United and the FA Cup.

It is going to be a huge test and a huge task against a side from the league above. Torquay are a big club and have some fantastic and experienced players. They will come to us as the favourites and I'm sure expecting to progress.

However, we have lost only one of our last six games and with the pressure off in terms of expectation for a week ,it will be an opportunity to express ourselves.

We do not want to lose and if there is a big crowd, it's important that we put on a show and entice them back for the next game.

With a first round place at stake, both teams will be desperate to get the right result and it should be a really good game.

Losing to Chelmsford last weekend was frustrating, especially considering how well we had played against the same opposition the previous week.

The tempo, intensity and quality of our play was not the same on Saturday and we know that we need to do better this week.

The academy progressed in their League Cup last week, beating Charlton Athletic on penalties.

It was a very one-sided game and we should have been in double figures but with only the one goal to show for our dominance, Charlton were still in the game.

Charlton equalised in the 94th minute, with their first shot on goal, but we were able to recover from that and go through.

The game went straight to penalties and we progressed, winning the shoot-out 5-3.

Next week we hold the first of our trials for next year's academy intake. If you would like more information or to book on the trial, please contact me by email at jason.bristow@btfc.co.uk.
