ALDERMASTON and Hampshire Court A are the early leaders in the Basingstoke and District Tennis League Ladies Division One.

Aldermaston have three wins from four matches, while Hampshire Court A have won their first three matches.

Aldermaston have beaten Mortimer A 8-0, Beechdown B 7-1 and Hampshire Court B 6-2 with Karen McKenzie/Nikki Lines being unbeaten.

Hampshire Court recorded 8-0 wins over RSF, their B team and Andover. Their team against RSF comprised of Elaine Whitham/Sally Cackett and Emma Giddings/Julie Frankland.

Andover have two wins to their name 7-1 against Beechdown B, Fay Fradgley and Clare Reid being unbeaten and 5-3 over Aldermaston. Goodworth Clatford won 8-0 against Mortimer and they also drew at RSF. Beechdown A beat RSF 8-0 with a team of Clare Munns/Andrea Butcher and Ali Coughlan/Jo Kochli-Newell and Mortimer beat Hampshire Court B 6-2.

Winchester A lead the way in Division Two with three wins from four matches played.

They have beaten their B team and Whitchurch 8-0 and secured a 5-3 win against Goodworth Clatford B.

Their team against Whitchurch was made up of Sharon Wardle/Pippa Archibald and Barbara Wilkinson/Sue Fox.

The Odiham A team have beaten both Winchester A, 7-1 and B, 8-0 with Emma Barnes/Aimee Patterson getting a maximum against the A team. They did however go down 7-1 to their B team with Emma Barnes/Sharon De Botte winning all their sets.

The B team have also beaten Preston Candover 5-3, but lost at Totally Tennis 5-3 with Jo Jones/Jasmin Bromilow being unbeaten for the home side.

Winchester B have beaten both Goodworth Clatford B and Preston Candover 7-1 with Jane Taylor/Helen Burrell winning their sets against Preston Candover and Alison Jackson/Rian Torres doing similar in the Goodworth match.

Catherine Payne/Judith Mole and Charlotte Whittle/Lizzie Ball gave Preston Candover an 8-0 win against Whitchurch and a maximum from Ann Viney/Helen Li saw Goodworth Clatford beat Beechdown C 7-1. The Beechdown team did beat Totally Tennis 5-3.
