LONDON Irish moved off the bottom of the Premiership table after they beat fellow strugglers Worcester 20-13 at the Madejski Stadium.

The home side built up a 10-0 lead in the first 40 minutes, thanks to a converted try from Ciaran Hearn and a penalty from Shane Geraghty.

Ryan Mills kicked the Warriors only points of the first half as the Exiles led 10-3 at the break.

After the interval Bryce Heem reduced the their lead and then Topsy Ojo was denied a try in his 250th game for Irish.

The sides then swapped tries from Andrew Fenby and Val Rapava-Ruskin, before Geraghty's late penalty made sure of the win.

On Saturday, Irish will hope to continue their climb away from the bottom of the Premiership table, when they travel to sixth placed Northampton.
