CHINEHAM Lions RFC celebrated their promotion from Hampshire Two with an impressive 15-8 victory over champions Locks Heath Pumas.
Locks Heath went into the game unbeaten in the league, but tries from Sid Smith and Jonty Moody, as well as a penalty from Kieran Daley, ensured that Chineham, who are assured of second place, end the campaign unbeaten at May’s Bounty.
Overton will end the season in seventh place after losing 32-12 at home to Alresford, while Kingsclere slipped a place to ninth in the table after losing 20-14 away at fellow strugglers Aldershot and Fleet.
Aldermaston wrapped up their Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship campaign with a 20-6 defeat away at champions Risborough. They end the season seventh out of eight teams.
Tadley Tigers were forced to concede their trip to London Cornish in London Two South West, meaning that they will finish bottom of the table.
