Sutton ended a three-match losing run in the Enterprise National League by beating Eastleigh 2-1.
Emmanuel Osadebe opened the scoring in the 17th minute after he was teed up by Temi Babalola.
It was 2-0 just five minutes later as Babalola’s effort was tipped onto the crossbar and Brandon Njoku followed up to score.
Hady Ghandour pulled one back in the second half after good work by Aaron Blair.
But there was no way back and indeed Osadebe missed the chance to extended the hosts’ winning margin from a stoppage-time penalty after a foul on David Ogbonna.
