HOOK teenage racer Louis Foster collected his first ever podium place in only his second Ginetta Junior Championship meeting at Silverstone as part of the British Touring Car Championship package.

Having made his debut at the previous meeting at Rockingham.

The young racer qualified 11th in race one where he came 15th overall.

Race two at the Northamptonshire circuit proved to be a solid drive as he started 13th and finished in the same place.

The teenager then saved his best to last as starting 13th again he moved up to ninth overall.

This saw him finish third in the rookie class and claim his first Ginetta podium. It was a great achievement as the rest of the drivers have driven all year Also racing in the same series Jordan Collard collected a hat-trick of top 10 finishes, in what is his second season in the class.

Collard was sixth in race one and followed this up with a seventh and then a eighth.

Both drivers will be back in action this weekend in the season finale at Brands Hatch on the GP track, with their last race being shown live on ITV4 on Sunday.

Rob Collard will also be back on the track after a big smash in the first BTCC race at Silverstone ended his driver’s championships hopes which ruled out of the whole weekend.

His three races on Sunday are at 11.30am, 2.20pm and 5.15pm.
