THE Hunstdale Cup and Huntsdale Handicap Winners Trophy at Hartley Wintney Golf Club saw 25 pairs taking part.

The unusual format for the competition is to play holes one to six as foursomes, holes seven to 12 as greensomes and holes 13 to 18 as better ball.

The winners of the Huntsdale Cup with the best gross score were Ben Cornwell and Tom Winder (73), four shots ahead of Mark Chandler and Kevin Pitcher and Dylan Cornwell and David Fox on 77. Chandler and Pitcher took second on countback.

In the Huntsdale Trophy the best net score came from Derek Morrison and Angus Walker (63), they were 3.5 shots ahead of second place Richard Worrall and Jonty Rowe.

The Seve Trophy, where part of the entrance fee is donated to the Seve Ballesteros Foundation which supports Cancer Research, saw Martin Butler who set the fairways alight with a fantastic net 66. This was three shots ahead of David Bartlett (69). Also on 69, but finished third on countback was Duncan Syme.

Bartlett (72) and Butler (81) also featured in the gross score section of the competition finishing first and third (on countback) respectively.

Sandwiched between them in second was Tom Winder with a 76.
