KENNET Ospreys match at Witherington Farm saw Ray Shepherd blitz the field with 111lb 14oz of carp on the long pole and soft pellet. Bartosz Recki utilised the method feeder with corn for 67lb 12oz of carp, Ian Jones caught 51lb 3oz of carp on long pole and pellet, Peter Wooldridge made up the frame with 42lb 3oz of carp on pole, pellet and corn.

Twenty one fished and some struggled.

Adventure AS were at Billhook Lake last Sunday and Gary Herman sorted it with 108lb 12oz of carp on pole and corn, Kevin Holmes put the bomb to good use and with pellet on the hook weighed in 104lb 8oz, Steve Hunt’s 71lb 4oz was a pole and corn affair with Steve Davis next on 66lb of mixed. All 20 caught.

Camrose fished the newly stocked Old Barlows Lake on Sunday last, where Andy Wicks topped out on 71lb of carp on pole and pellet, James Andrews used a similar tactic for his 53lb of carp, Colin Thomas caught 48lb followed by Jason Marcham with 19lb 12oz. All 15 caught.

Eight anglers fished the Oxoid AC match at Whitehouse Lake, Harry Roach weighed in 31lb 10oz of carp on the feeder, Pete Matthew also used the feeder for his 16lb 2oz as did John Nottingham for 9lb 2oz.

Eight fished and caught.

Staceys latest match at Cheriton Farm gave Tadley Angling's Kevin Roberts the win with 133lb 14oz of carp on the pellet wag. Steve Davis was second with 88lb 8oz on pellet wag and pole, Scott Butler caught 60lb 8oz followed by Keith Brown’s 45lb.

Twelve fished and caught.

Adventure’s match at Frobury Farm was won by Gary Herman using pole and corn for 65lb 14oz of carp, Rob Gallagher caught 44lb followed by Graham Spiller with 43lb. All 16 caught.

Old Barlows Lake has been stocked with 15,000 mixed silver fish, 300 bream to 4lb, 200 skimmer bream, 700lb of smaller carp, 38 21/2lb common carp, 700 mirror carp and 30 2lb tench, whilst 500 1lb carp went into Soke Road Lake and with more big bream to come, I’m confident Staceys Fishing Club’s stocking policy will pay dividends in the long run.

Hopefully I am now back from my Tenerife trips, but that depends on ‘er indoors and the weather.
