THE local derby between AFC Aldermaston Reserves and Tadley Calleva resulted in a narrow 2-1 win for the Atom Men in the Basingstoke and District League Division One.

Tadley took the lead on the hour as Charlie Cunningham headed home Stephen Burgess' free-kick.

Aldermaston levelled on 75 minutes from Vince Barrett's penalty.

Michael Porter scored the winner five minutes from time.

AFC Berg warmed up for the Peter Raynbird Cup final with a 15-0 win against lowly placed Origin Headley in Division Two.

They led10-0 up at half time and the goals came from Harry Rudge (5), Carlos Gonzales (4), Lee Neal (2), Kieran Alleyne (2) and a single for Dan Deadman.

Leaders Basingstoke Athletic were beaten 5-3 by the ever improving Longdog Soldiers, who swept into a three goals lead thanks to Alex Spencer, Sam Mosdell and Max Trodd.

Athletic pulled one back by the break from a Kieran Challis penalty and Aaron Johns made it 3-2.

Soldiers fourth came from Nathan Archer as Sam Trodd picked up his second assist.

Three minutes from time Connor Parker scored for athletic, before Max Trodd completed the win.

Sherborne Saints are looking on track for promotion, as they now move just four points adrift of the leaders with four games in hand after beating AFC Aldermaston A 6-4 away.

An own goal gave Aldermaston the lead, but Matt Livingstone's brace gave Saints the lead.

Craig Porter equalised, but Alex Izzo made it 3-2 at the break.

Dan Grimes added Saints fourth and Vinny Kennedy replied, but Livingstone's hat-trick and a bizarre own goal from Liam Doran from a 25-yard back pass sealed Saints win.
