HOBOS are back at the top of Hampshire Cricket League County Division Three North after beating South Wilts III by 60 runs.

Ahmed Khan hit an unbeaten 97 as home side Hobos reached 231-9, while Tulia Junaid took 3-33 as the visitors were bowled out for 171 in reply.

Matt Evans guided Hartley Wintney II to a two-wicket victory over visiting AWE Tadley.

James Lovegrove top-scored with 54 as the bottom side reached 205-9, with Tristan Gregory taking 3-24 for Hartley.

Andrew Rimmer took 3-41 in the Hartley response, but Evans' unbeaten 76 saw the hosts over the line with eight wickets down.

Hook and Newnham Basics III sit fourth after edging out hosts Alton III by just six runs.

Alex Stewart hit 56 as Hook were bowled out for 156, but Alton were restricted to 150-6 in reply.

Overton were bowled out for just 67 by visiting Steep, who went on to record a comfortable eight-wicket victory.

Hook and Newnham Basics II slipped to fifth in Division One after losing by three wickets at home to Fareham and Crofton.

Hook were bowled out for 172 and while they took seven wickets with the ball, Fareham reached their victory target.

Basingstoke and North Hants III beat visiting Redlynch and Hale by 56 runs in Division Two.

Opening pair Tom Hartgill (43) and Mark Richards (40) got the Bountymen off to a good start as they reached 219-9 batting first.

Ashley Neal then took 4-31 with the ball as the visitors were dismissed for 163 in reply.

Old Basing did not fare so well, losing by 58 runs at home to Andover II.

Basing did a decent job with the ball, dismissing their visitors for 191, but they were unable to chase this target down, being bowled out for 133 in reply.

Oakley enjoyed a 63-run win over visiting IBM Hursley in Division Four North.

Batting first, the Oaks amassed 220-7 and Hursley never really got close, their reply ending as they lost their final wicket with the score on 157.
