TEENAGER Josh May produced the top batting display of the week as he scored an unbeaten 130 in Hook and Newnham Basics V’s 95 run victory over visiting Odiham III.
The Hampshire under-14 wicket keeper carried his bat and along with Elliott Walker 71 shared a second wicket stand of 178 which helped the home side to 257-7 in this Hampshire League Regional Division Three North East contest.
Odiham’s Bruce Applin took 5-32, before his side were bowled out for 162 as St John Cox topped scored with 76 and seven Hook bowlers took wickets.
Herriard II had a game to forget as they were shot out for 40 as they lost to IBM Hursley II 263-6.
