ODIHAM and Greywell dished out one of the worst defeats in Kingsclere's 241-year history with a 272-run win in Hampshire Cricket League Regional Division One North.

Odiham scored 306-1 from their 42 overs thanks to some fine batting from Kyran Munt (121 not out) and openers John Hodgson (109 not out) and Phil Thomas (50).

The score included an opening partnership of 107 in 19 overs and unbeaten second-wicket stand of 199.

The home side soon found themselves in trouble at 25-4 and Mark Hirst (10) was their only player to make double figures as Kingsclere were skittled out for 34. Becky Hartnett (5-15) and Ross McGaughrin (5-16) did the damage with the ball.

The win moved Odiham up to third in the table, while Ashford Hill are second after enjoying a comprehensive 10-wicket win at Littleton and West Hill, bowling the hosts out for 62.

Mark Williamson (5-23) took five wickets for the second week running, well supported by Pete Newton (3-23).

Ashford Hill openers Peter Brown (35) and Mike Softley (26) knocked off the required runs inside 14 overs.

Old Basing II enjoyed a 23-run success after bowling Longparish out for 129, Dave Smith returning 5-24.

Steve Dummer's 52 was in vain for Sherfield-on-Loddon, as they could only reach 205-6 chasing St Mary Bourne's 244-7.

Lucas Freer was another half-century maker on the losing side as Basingstoke and North Hants IV were bowled out for 146, Medstead knocking off the runs to win by nine wickets.

Rob Jones (48) top scored for Herraird (161-8), but Holybourne (163-9) won by one wicket despite Martin Apperley's 3-42.

Ramsdell's game against Crown Taverners was not played due to heavy overnight rain.

Old Basing III moved up to third in Division Two North after a six-wicket win at Silchester. The home side were bowled out for 83, with Survam Pritam (4-13) the chief wicket taker.

This weekend, Basing face a crunch match as they entertain leaders Otterbourne, who beat visiting Odiham by five wickets last Saturday. The visitors' total of 140-9 proved not to be enough.

The game between Hook IV and Rotherwick ITW fell foul of the weather.

Oakley II maintained their perfect start to their Division Three North East campaign with an eight-wicket win against St Cross Syms VI.

The visitors were restricted to 116-5 after Perry King took three wickets. The home side seemed to be in trouble at 30-2, but the recovered to win the game without losing another wicket as Brad Compton-Bearne top-scored with 71.

St Mary's were the only other local side to win in the division, as Ali Kanjee (57) helped them to 183.

Veeru Pokola (4-37) and Ian Bentley (4-21) then did the damage with the ball as Liphook and Rispley III were bowled out for 94 .

Basingstoke V were all out for 143 as they tried to chase down Colden Common II's 202-5, while Odiham III made just 73 as they lost by nine wickets to Compton and Chandler's Ford III.

AWE Tadley II suffered an even worse batting display as they were shot out for 55 and lost by eight wickets at Holybourne II.

Two other games that never started were Hartley Wintney III's trip to Easton and Martyr Worthy II and Overton III's home game against Sparsholt III.

In Division Three North West, Overton's second team were bowled out for 145 as they tried to overhaul visiting Totton and Eling III's 159.

In Division Four North, only one game survived the weather, with Herriard II recording a 37-run success against Crown Taverners II, who they restricted to 105-9.

The games between Ashford Hill II and Hungerford II as well as Whitchurch II's trip to Wherwell II never took place.
