ANDY Galvin took six wickets as Overton beat visiting AWE Tadley by 97 runs, to keep the pressure on the leaders IBM Hursley in Hampshire League County Division Four North.

Alex Millar (52) and Charlie Gray (51) helped second placed Overton to 229-7, before Galvin’s 6-24 saw Tadley bowled out for 132.

Oakley beat visiting Medstead by 65 runs as Brad Compton-Bearne led the way with 49 from 13 balls. He was well supported by James Bayliss (42), James Bright (35), Alan North (34), Paddy Saines (33) and Dan Sumner (32) in their winning total of 219-7. The visitors were bowled out for 154.

Ramsdell are fourth after a nine wicket win over Longparish (103). Tom Holbrook (5-25) and Matt Morley (3-21) did the damage with the ball. Nick Bellamy (49) and Mike Abbott (43) shared an unbroken second wicket stand worth 91.

Josh Weir’s 86 saw Old Basing make 310 as beat Petersfield by 59 runs.

Rajeev Nair with a best of the week of 134 and Daniel Bowles (57) shared a second wicket partnership worth 140 as Hartley Wintney II made 271-6 in Division three North.

Hursley Park were bowled out for 172 as Rex Porter took 2-3 from 12 balls.
