JAMIE Teale enjoyed a great day with bat and ball, as he helped Hartley Wintney into the second round of the Southern League T20 Cup, as they won at Hursley Park thanks to a 31 run victory.

Teale hit 33 in the Hartley's winning score of 139-9 and then took three wickets as Hursley could only reach 109-7.

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat and Henry Collier (50) and Will Kerr (7) put on 34 for the first wicket.

After a brief stay at the centre from Danny Plume, Teale joined Collier and they took the score into three figures.

Collier's excellent half century from 35 balls saw him hit six fours and without a run added Teale departed his 33 coming from 36 balls and saw three boundaries.

Both were victims of Hursley's star bowler Mike Moreton (4-23) and then Aaron Williams (3-5) from two overs got amongst the tail as Hartley finished on 139-9.

The Hursley reply never really got going as Seb Waddington (2-17) and James Beckwith (2-17) removed the top three for 38 runs.

Teale (3-13) then ripped out the middle order as the home side slumped to 63-6.

Matt Musgrove (31) put up some late resistance, but was trapped leg before by Daniel Bowles (1-26), they fell short of their target as they finished on 109-7.
