DEAN Skinns became the first ever Basingstoke Bison netminder to reach double figures in shut-outs, as the Herd won at the Milton Keynes Thunder 6-0.
The Basingstoke-born goalie turned away all 12 shots he faced, as the Bison extended their 100 per cent record in the league to nine games.
It was MK man of the match Tom Annetts, who was the star in the first period, as he made 16 saves, as the teams went in level at 0-0.
Tomas Karpov then opened the scoring at 28:29. Then with Elliott Dewey in the sin bin, Roman Malinik added another shorthanded.
Karpov's second of the night at 50:34 made it 3-0 and then Dan Scott from the blue line added a fourth.
Malinik then netted the Herd's fifth, before with Karpov serving a late penalty, man of the match Ivan Antonov scored shorthanded.
The Bison's next game is away to the Peterborough Phantoms in the Autumn Trophy on Saturday, before a home game against the London Raiders on Sunday which starts at 5.30pm.
