NORTH Warnborough marched into the Hampshire Intermediate Cup fourth round, but it took them extra-time to see off visiting Portsmouth side Prospect.

The Pompey side took an early lead before Andy Parker levelled with a penalty to keep the sides even at the interval.

Phil Haig edged the home side ahead in the second half before being pegged back once more.

A second Haig goal appeared to put Warnborough through to the next round but Prospect equualised just a minute from time.

The home side took the lead again in extra-time with a brilliant header by Mark Beazley and held on to win.

AC Marstons travelled to AFC Havant Town and went down 7-1.

In the all-Basingstoke tie, Basingstoke Saints were on home turf and took a two-goal lead through Jamie O’Toole and Tom Langley.

However, visitors Mars Drinks reduced the deficit from Louis Vickery before half-time and Ashley Elwood levelled the scores shortly after the re-start.

An Elwood penalty gave Mars the lead and three quick goals from Elwood, Vickery and Dan Dedman took the game beyond Saints, who only managed to pull one goal back by Aftring West.

Veteran defender Richard Bond chalked up his 100th appearance for Mars Drinks.
