GIANTKILLERS Tron took another great cup scalp as hot on the heels over victory over Welly Old Boys they knocked New Inn Sports out of the Hampshire Junior A Cup.

The Division One outfit opened the scoring against their Premier Division counterparts after 10 minutes when a long clearance from Gary Osmond was picked up by Chris Laversher, who outpaced James Hemmings and chipped goalkeeper Adam Hooker from 20 yards.

New Inn had plenty of possession, but lacked penetration in the last third of the pitch and were lucky not to go two down when Laversher hit the post.

Three minutes into the second half Tron doubled their advantage as Gareth Cooke’s cross was left by Hooper and a completely unmarked Serge Holland had a simple tap-in.

The victors’ third goal came on 54 minutes as Osmond’s shot was half saved, leaving Holland to put away the rebound.
