THE Basingstoke and District Saturday League will start the forthcoming season with 36 teams, one fewer than it had at the end of last season.

Cromwell Inn, Hook Reserves and AFC Aldermaston B have all withdrawn – but new teams have entered in Kingsclere Reserves and CSA 07 Tron FC Reserves.

Oakley Athletic, due to be relegated from the Premier Division, opted to stay, which means there will be 12 clubs in the top tier.

Division one will have 11 after the clubs voted to allow AFC Aldermaston A to drop down from the premier to division two, which has 13 teams.

Fastfit Service Centre have changed their name to Sure Lounge Bar, while Onetouchables will operate under the new name of Bounty United. They will play at Basingstoke and North Hants Cricket Club.
