ROBERT Tobin claimed a first senior British title in Birmingham last night, comfortably winning the 400m at the Aviva World Trials and UK Championships.
The Old Basing athlete, who is 25, produced a dominant display to lead the final from start to finish, claiming the gold medal and an individual spot at the World Championships in a time of 45.84sec.
Other north Hampshire athletes also enjoyed success at the meeting, Charlie Purdue claiming a silver medal in the women’s 5000m and Andy Blow finishing fourth in the 400m hurdles.
