Hartley Wintney travelled to Horndean looking for points to cement their place in the play-off zone. In the end, they had to settle for a draw.
The Deans pressed from the outset, and they were rewarded in the second minute when a strike from Brandon Chebby hit the post and Ryan Carroll followed up to slam the ball into the net (1-0).
Hartley responded and levelled the scores on 17 minutes.
Following a corner from Horndean, the Row put together a fast break from defence, and at the end of the move was George Wallace to shoot home (1-1).
The Row gained the edge and created a few promising situations which came to nothing.
Wallace was again instrumental in the move that led to Hartley taking the lead on 39 minutes as his cross found Jack Penton, who nodded home from close range (1-2).
On the stroke of half-time, the Deans came close when a corner hit the crossbar.

The second half saw Hartley hold a slight edge, but the Deans had chances with fast breaks.
The Row had a number of promising situations from which they were unable to capitalise.
The nearest effort came from Wallace, who fired across the face of the goal.
The Deans finished strongly and were rewarded on 90 minutes when, following a good move, Chebby crossed for Ewan Lynch to convert from close range (2-2).
The result sees the Row drop one point out of the play-off places to sixth.
On Tuesday evening, they host Fareham Town at the War Memorial Ground, kick-off at 7.30pm.
