Basingstoke Gymnastics Club’s TeamGym squad excelled at the Southern Tournament 2022 held at Bracknell Leisure Centre.
The club’s micro teams and one full team won nine gold medals and three silver medals to make it a successful tournament.
The full team’s TeamGym competitions show gymnastic skills in three different disciplines - Floor, Trampette and Tumbling. All three require effective teamwork, excellent technique in the elements and spectacular tumbling elements. Teamgym competitions may consist of three categories: women, men, and mixed teams. In each of the three categories a team may consist of between 6 to 12 gymnasts.
Micro teams are groups of up to five gymnasts in a team. The perform to the same TeamGym rules but on Tumble and Trampette only with no more than three gymnasts competing in each run.

Level 6 Mini mixed micro team – Silver
Level 5 Primary Women’s micro teams (two teams) – joint Silver
Level 5 Junior Women’s micro team – Gold

Level 4 Senior Women’s micro team – Gold
Level 4 Youth Women’s micro team – Gold
