Hartley played their second pre-season match behind closed doors at respected rivals Westfield. All precautions were put in place with social distancing and testing carried out.

The Row again travelled with a large squad and essentially a different side played in the each half. In the opening period chances were few and far between until Hartley opened the scoring in the 26th minute. Mitch Parker got free down the right and his cross was headed home by George Pilbeam. Westfield finished the half on top and pulled level on 41 minutes with a penalty from their number 8.

Half Time: Westfield 1, Hartley Wintney 1

Both teams made many changes at half time and the introduction of Kingsley Essen and Sam Argent gave the Row good attacking options. In fact it took Argent just one minute to get on the score sheet as he converted a low right wing cross. Lucas Birt came close to extending the Hartley lead bringing out two fine saves from the home keeper. Westfield pulled level for a second time when number 10 converted a left wing cross on 67 minutes.

Hartley finished the half strongly and on 72 minutes a through ball saw Sam Argent behind the home defence to give the Row the lead for the third time. The Hartley striker was not finished and on 79 minutes volleyed home a right wing cross in spectacular style to complete his hat trick.
