READING went down by a lone goal at Elland Road as Leeds United maintained their quest for promotion to the Premier League.
The only goal of the game in Yorkshire was scored by Pablo Hernandez on 57 minutes.
The Royals nearly scored an equaliser, but Liam Moore's effort was saved.
The loss saw Reading slip to 16th in the Championship and they are next in action on Wednesday night at home to Wigan.
