THE Basingstoke Bison have a double header weekend coming up against the Swindon Wildcats.

The first game is in Basingstoke on Saturday (6.30pm) with the return at Link Centre on Sunday (6.15pm).

The Herd will look to bounce back to winning ways after losing their only game last weekend to the Raiders

Bison Player/coach Tait said: “We have no excuses for the loss we just did not start well enough. We now have to make sure this did happen this weekend, as Swindon will be sure to punish us if we do”

The Herd are hoping Tom Ralph will be back in their line-up.

Last Sunday, the Bison lost 6-4 in Romford.

The home side took the lead on an early five-on-three advantage as man of the match Erik Piatak scored assisted by former Herd captain Aaron Connolly.

The visitors replied as Sean Norris equalised from Ashley Tait and Michal Klejna.

The Raiders then took a 3-1 lead after goals from Oliver Baldock and Jake Sylvester, but theBison narrowed it to a one goal game as man of the match Richard Bordowski scored.

The scoreline remained 3-2 until 48:59, when Lucas Sladkovsky netted shorthanded.

The game then saw three goals in the space a minute. The Herd got the first as Bordowski netted on the powerplay from Adam Harding and Liam Morris.

The home side replied 13 seconds later from JJ Pitchley and then 39 seconds after this t he Herd netted again from Sam Talbot assisted by Harding and Bordowski.

The Raiders made sure of the win in the final two minutes from Piatak.
