THE Basingstoke Bison will be keen to return to winning ways this weekend when they face the Milton Keynes Lightning twice.

The Bison will start their weekend away in MK on Saturday night (7pm) and with the return on home ice on Sunday (5.30pm). The Herd beat MK last time out, but since then they have added import Robin Kovar and Liam Stewart the son of rock legend Rod Stewart to their line-up.

The Bison still have injury doubts on Alex Sampford, George Norcliffe and Oscar Evans.

On Saturday, the Buffalo are in action on home ice against Swindon at 6.15pm.

Last Sunday, the Bison again struggled as they went down 3-2 after overtime to the Leeds Chiefs in what was their away game, but played in Basingstoke as their new rink is still to open.

Adam Jones and Klejna scored for the Herd, while Charnock netted a brace and Lewis Houston scored the overtime winner at 64:22.

Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: "We were out worked all weekend by a Leeds team who wanted it more than us. We have to make sure this does not happen again."
