ODIHAM teenage ice hockey star Emily Harris has scored two braces in the first two games of the Under-18 Women's 4Nations tournament at the Dumfries Ice Bowl.

Harris' latest double along with goals from Grace Garbett and Alice Jones helped the Great Britain team to secure their second successive victory as they beat Iceland Women 4-3.

Kiana Tait sent Harris free for the game's first goal as she finished high on her backhand on the powerplay at 6:55.

Garbett started and finished off the move for GB's second and was set up from behind the net by Harris for a one-timer at 29:51.

Iceland reduced the deficit at 35:44, before Harris netted her second on the powerplay from the short side with 2.7 seconds left in the second period.

Kaitlyn Morrison assisted on a smart finish at the top of the crease by Jones at 41:56, but Iceland roared back to ensure a tense finish with a powerplay strike at 43:31and then a third goal after pulling their netminder at 58:51.

The victory put GB top of the four-team group with six points from two matches to set up a winner-takes-all encounter against Poland U18 Women today.

The previous day Harris scored twice as Great Britain beat Spain 3-0.

The Odiham teenager, who grabbed a hat-trick in last Wednesday night's challenge game with a Dumfries & Whitley Select side, netted in the first and third period before Lucy Beal scored on the powerplay.

Netminder Emma Nichols secured a 14-shot shutout.

Kiana Tait set-up Harris to fire top shelf and give GB a first-period lead, while Grace Garbett was denied from the slot in the second session.

Beal and Garbett combined on Harris' second as she scored with a neat backhand finish through the five-hole at 42:31.

Garbett and Sophie Campbell then picked up the assists on Beal's shot from the blueline on the powerplay (48:10).
