READING slipped to just above the drop zone in the Championship after their game at Nottingham Forest was postponed on Saturday.
A pitch inspection at noon saw the game at Trentside called off after a period of heavy rain.
The Royals will now look to extended their unbeaten run under new boss Mark Bowen at home to Millwall on Saturday.
